Holy Trinity Anglican Church
Located in the High Street / Brooke Street area, this stunning church was constructed in 1861 and showcases remarkable Gothic Revival architecture built from local stone. Its distinctive form is a prominent feature of Maldon’s skyline.
Status: Still operating as a church – Services held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at 10 am.
St Brigid’s Catholic Church
Situated in the Chapel Street / High Street area, this Catholic church was built in the late 19th century and features a graceful design with a bell tower. It has long played an important role in the spiritual life of Maldon’s Catholic community.
Status: Still operating as a church – Continues as an active place of worship within St Mary’s Parish, Castlemaine.
Maldon Uniting Church (Former)
Located at 8 Fountain Street, this building originated as a Methodist church in 1863. It represents fine Victorian-era Gothic architecture and is known for its distinctive stained glass windows and elegant spire.
Status: No longer a church – Closed in 2013 and sold in 2014. Now operates as Cascade Art Gallery.
St John’s Presbyterian Church
Positioned in the Camp Street area, this sandstone church was constructed in the 1860s. It features lovely stained glass windows and served generations of Maldon’s Presbyterian community.
Status: No longer operating as a regular place of worship – Remains an important heritage building.
St Paul’s Anglican Church
Situated on Church Street, this picturesque stone church was built in 1893 and exhibits the architectural elegance of the late 19th century. It forms part of Maldon’s historic church landscape.
Status: Primarily a historic landmark – Limited or no regular public worship services.
