Nestled in the charming historic town of Maldon, Victoria, this elegant cottage sits just a short stroll from the main street and only 90 minutes from Melbourne — the perfect escape for couples seeking romance or groups of friends ready to explore the Goldfields.
Step inside and you’ll discover a spacious open-plan living and dining area featuring a reclaimed timber dining table, a comfortable leather lounge suite, a cosy wood-burning fireplace, and a large flat-screen TV ready for your own streaming subscriptions. Central heating and cooling keep the house comfortable year-round, while two sets of French doors open onto peaceful gardens and private terraces.
Outside, mature trees, birdlife and picturesque cottage gardens create a serene backdrop. Enjoy alfresco dining on the large terrace table, relax on the shaded lounge seating, or fire up the gas BBQ on warm evenings. Everything about Winton Cottage invites you to slow down and savour the gentle pace of Maldon life.
Sleeping Arrangements
- Three queen bedrooms with high-quality queen beds. The main bedroom has a private en-suite.
- Parlour daybed – quality sprung daybed that converts to single or queen, also a quiet reading nook.
- Private studio apartment – two single beds and its own bathroom (ideal for larger groups or special requirements).
Three bathrooms in total (en-suite, shared, and studio).
Comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. For smaller groups we prepare beds to your exact needs after booking.

Important Booking Information
- Maximum occupancy is strictly 10 guests.
- Indoor and outdoor seating is provided for up to 8 guests.
- Base rate includes 2 guests per queen bedroom. Extra beds incur a one-off $25 laundry fee (waived for bookings of 5 or more).
- Infants under 2 stay free (please bring your own portable cot).
- After booking we will contact you to confirm exact bedding requirements.
